the space

UzoMa is a Nigerian name meaning “born during a journey,” which captures the essence of the space, and represents a dream long in the making. Founded by expressive art therapist and social entrepreneur, Angela Ramsey Robinson, uzoMa is a unique art space designed to spark personal transformation and positive social change.

Come visit and experience uzoMa’s colorful, creative space with recycled materials, radiant floor heat, and movable walls that separate formal exhibition space, a workshop/studio area for hands-on art and experiential workshops, and a cozy mezzanine office for private coaching, expressive therapy and other creative consultation.
At uzoMa, art is medicine. The creative process is as important as the product and exhibitions invite a creative response through interactive public art and opportunities for social dialogue. UzoMa believes art, imagination, and a deeply feminine approach are powerful keys for changing the world.
Located at 1813 Frankfort Avenue in the historic neighborhood of Clifton, uzoMa is located on the FAT Friday gallery trolley hop route that runs the last Friday of the month.
Hours: Wed 12-6pm Thurs 4-7pm Sat 2-5pm, every Fat Friday and by appt.
