Having experienced significant trauma during birth and postpartum, as well as breastfeeding challenges, Angela brings a sensitivity and empathy for women during this significant life transition along with extensive research and experience working with pregnant women and new mothers.

She has presented both practical and scholarly presentations in this area for both local organizations, and local and national conferences.  She created a program that she will be offering at uzoMa soon through a generous grant from the Kentucky Foundation for Women  to explore birthstories and empower women currently residing in addiction recovery shelters.
